Help

This CD-ROM contains the scientific proceedings of the 9th World Congress on Genetics applied to Livestock Production.

The CD-ROM is designed to allow you to search for a particular paper, topic or author using various methods. Each paper has a unique Paper-ID to access this paper directly on the CD-ROM. Knowing the ID is the fastest way to access a particular paper. The paper IDs can be found in the printed main programme of the 9th World Congress on Genetics applied to Livestock Production. On the CD-ROM paper IDs are displayed together with the corresponding paper titles and the authors' names.

Phrase Search

The Search Screen offers a phrase search with several options which enables you to widen or narrow your search. A phrase is any combination of letters or numbers, for example a name, one or more words or a scientific term. Type the words you wish to search for into the box "phrase". Leave a space between the words that you type in. Do not use commas (,) to separate the words.
Now specify which category you want to search for: Authors, Institutions, Fulltext, Title or Paper-ID. Narrow or widen your search by choosing one of the three options: "Match the phrase exact" - The search results will show papers that include the exact phrase you typed in. "Match all words" - The search results will show papers that include ALL of the words you typed in but in any order. "Match any words" - The search results will show papers that include ANY of the words you typed in.

Note

The papers are in Adobe Acrobat format (*.pdf). In order to view the papers you need to have either a full version of Adobe Acrobat® or the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader®. The reader is freely available from the Adobe website www.adobe.de.

All abstracts and the author index has been published without a lectorate. The authors are responsible for the content of the abstracts. Due to formatting problems some abstracts which were transferred electronically were slightly changed. Therefore the editor cannot guarantee the contents of these abstracts.
